Valentine’s Day Inspo

Hi friends! Do you love celebrating love? Valentines day is so love it or hate it, but there is so many fun things to do without it being overly cheesy! There is also the highly popular Galentine’s Day. Women celebrating their beautiful friendships with other women and making it a day about the girls! Sounds fun!

Food & Beverage

You can celebrate Valentine’s Day with the kids, making fun treats for them to enjoy! I thought it would be cute to do a Valentines charcuterie board for a class treat idea. I added fun heart candies, fruit, chocolates and chocolate dipped oreos! The options of what you could add are endless!

You could also make a charcuterie treat board for a party or get together, or even just for a quiet date night in. A party is the perfect excuse to make a fun themed drink too! We made “Cupid” ice cream floats and they were delicious and very easy to make.

I made this with what I had on hand, which was cranberry gingerale! You could easily use a substitute drink though. It would also be fun with a liquorice straw instead.

Dressing Up

I love a good excuse to dress up and date nights are perfect! You can step out of your comfort zone or keep it casual, dress for home or for a night out. You can even make it fun and girly for a Galentine’s event! I’ve rounded up a variety of looks to help your search for an upcoming date!

Gift Ideas

I always called Valentine’s day a hallmark holiday. Why do you need to buy your date a gift? You don’t .. I like making things. I’m crafty and the kids love it, but if I find the perfect gift for my spouse then I will buy it. Do you find it hard to find the right gift? I’ve put together gift guides for him, for her, and for the kids if you’re looking for inspo!

Well that is all for now! I hope you found some use in this, whether it be for Valentines, Galentines, date night or something else! Until next time! xoxo

Cupids Float

Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup Cranberry gingerale or red soda of choice
  • melted chocolate
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • Coat the rim of the glass in melted chocolate
  • Add sprinkles to the chocolate and let harden
  • Drop one scoop of ice cream to your cup
  • Slowly pour over drink of choice

Notes

I used cranberry gingerale because that’s what I drink and had on hand. Any kind of red beverage would be good.
Instead of a paper straw, try adding liquorice for a straw for added sweetness.
